Arrow Championship game music

Hey all,

I've helped out with the local midget team here at the end of the season. They are now in the league finals and well as the Saskatchewan Provincial finals.

Other than the obvious (We are The Champions-Queen) what would you Dj's recommend to be played during these last few games that you may not normally play? As well what are some ideas for when they win (hopefuly haha) and when there handing out the awards?

Thanks a bunch!

...and to add if they dont win, what would be appropriate to play after the game. Im not after anything that lyrically relates to whats going on (ie. All Good things come to an end or its the end of the world) but I'd be looking for some sort of instrumental BED maybe.

Again any help is appreciated!

Well, when we lost on home ice, I just played 'Matchbox Twenty - How Far We've Come' and then 'Semisonic - Closing Time' .. hopefully you wont have to worry about that, and you'll win though. haha

I'm not sure exactly what the Fuel song was called, but the Green Day song is actually called "Good Riddance". But then again, Time Of Your Life is written in parentheses after "Good Riddance", so I guess it's about the same thing!

The Fuel song is Leave The Memories Alone.

For championship wins, yeah We Are The Champions is pretty much a no brainer. You could toss in the classics like Simply The Best is another.

Or you could just keep playing uptempo stuff too, nothing wrong with that really.

We won the league title last weekend without actually dropping a puck when our rivals for the league got beaten 5-0 (at home!) by a side battling for a play-off place.

As it stood before the weekend, we had to win our last game against a side already relegated to division 2, while our rivals' last game was against the side in 3rd place.

Anyway, I've never been in this position before - we've won the league before the final game. The last game is going to be one hell of a party - so I need some suggestions.

As the team get the trophy and pose for the photo, we've arranged for 30 seconds worth of pyros at centre ice. I need a track for this! As previously mentioned, We Are The Champions is a no-brainer. Any other ideas?
